- Stanley R. Zwergel was a Tech 5 (Army
serial # 36712209), Service Co, 410th Infantry/Camp Howze,
- Texas He was appointed to the grade of Corporal eff 6/28/1944

- He went on to be appointed a Second Lietenant, Fr. McClellan,
Alabama,assigned from IRTC to Co B 25 th Tng Bn, irtc, 25th training
batallion acted as war bond officer for Co A for the 6th War Lean,
promoted to 1st Lt., Qualified for overseas movement, went to Ft.
Meade, Maryland then they changed orders and went to Camp Adair,
Oregon, Was on ship in the pacific when the war was over (ny dad wrote
my mom a letter from on the ship, I've recopied it and attached it),
then he landed in the Phillipines where he was a War Crimes
investigator in Davao and Manila with then a rank of Captain. On
April 13, 1946 he arrived at Camp Stoneman, Pittsburg, CA via USS
General Heintzelman and vial rail to Camp McCoy Wisconsin. His
WW II experience was over June 6, 1946. He was an excellent
record keeper and artifact keeper.
