- "I was the company 1st scout and the sniper.
- Who were the 2 fellows with me when we came into a
little town , late evening, with
- 2 Free French fellows. Raining, cold. stayed
in a house where the women fed us supper
- ( threw it all up) and we stripped to dry our
clothes.
- 2 hours later the fellows came back and said the
company was now in town and we
- had to move out to the next town.
- One of the fellows with me was from Appleton, Wisconsin
and the other came from
- Washington University in Missouri.
- All 3 of us were in ASTP before the 103rd."
