- PFC Wilson F. Rodgers was from the state of Washington.

- Rodgers was called to service from the ASTP program at Texas
A&M. He trained at Camp
Fannin before joining the 409th, K-Company.
The 409th relieved the 3rd Division at
Chevry, France on November 9, 1944.

- PFC Rodgers was KIA attacking a German machine gun position in
the assault upon Taintrux and the surrounding hill mass toward St.
Die on November 16, 1944.
For his valor, he received the Distinguished Service Cross.
