PFC WILSON F. RODGERS - (KIA)

409th K Company

 
PFC Wilson F. Rodgers was from the state of Washington.
 
Rodgers was called to service from the ASTP program at Texas A&M.  He trained at Camp Fannin before joining the 409th, K-Company.  The 409th relieved the 3rd Division at Chevry, France on November 9, 1944. 
 
PFC Rodgers was KIA attacking a German machine gun position in the assault upon Taintrux and the surrounding hill mass toward St. Die on November 16, 1944.  For his valor, he received the Distinguished Service Cross.
 
PFC Rodgers rests in honor at the Epinal American Cemetery
